This is a small friendly group who enjoy exploring their artistic talents and the social atmosphere of the meetings. No standard is set and all members have different abilities.
Subscriptions costs are kept to a reasonable rate to cover the hire of the hall, with help of grants from Long Crendon Parish Council and Chearsley Village Trust. A grant from AVDC Community Chest has enabled the group to provide tutorials from well-know local artists, which not only encourage the members, but also introduces them to new ways of looking at art and coping with different materials and style. The group also have a small stock of different mediums for members to use.

When it was set up in the late 1970s the objects of the Long Crendon Village Association (LCVA) were '...to carry on the business of a club by providing for the use of its members, the means of social intercourse, mutual helpfulness, mental and moral improvement, rational recreation and the other advantages of a club.'
Since then, for tax reasons, the charitable activities of the LCVA have been split from the business activities, so Long Crendon Community Social Club Ltd was set up.
LCVA is responsible for the Village Centre buildings and lettings. The other activities of the club are handled by the LCCSC (lcva.co.uk is coming shortly!)
