Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an arson in Long Crendon, just before midnight on Wednesday 4 July. Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a retail premises in Bilwell at around 11:45pm and contacted the police as they suspected it to be arson. The building wasn’t occupied at the time but significant damage was caused. Investigating officer PC Gary Scott, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said: “Please contact me if you saw or heard anyone acting suspiciously in the centre of Long Crendon that night, particularly between 10:30pm and midnight on Wednesday 4 July. “If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at this time, please review it to see whether you have captured anything suspicious. “If you have any information please call me on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 43180203376.” If you don’t want to give your details or talk to the police you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or report it online.
