This is a standard gauge railway operating both steam and diesel hauled train services from the station at Chinnor in Oxfordshire.
The railway opens for passenger services in March until Halloween and has Santa Specials operating in December. The line currently runs over a 3 ½ mile stretch along the foot of the Chiltern Hills running parallel to the Icknield Way, passing through attractive countryside with some outstanding views across the Vale of Whiteleaf. Buckinghamshire Railway Centre is a working steam museum where you can step back in time as you stroll amongst the giants of the steam age displayed at its spacious 25 acre site.
The Centre boasts one of the largest private railway collections in the country with many steam locomotives from express passenger types to the humble shunting engine, as well as numerous interesting items of rolling stock.
