Oxford-Cambridge Expressway

Started by Patrick Palmer

A public meeting will be held on 5th June at 7:30pm in Long Crendon Library to inform residents on the potential impact on our and neighbouring villages from the new Oxford-Cambridge Expressway.

The preferred "planning corridor" for this road has now been announced and its eastern boundary is only a few miles from Long Crendon. Apart from the road itself, perhaps the greatest potential impact on local villages (and surrounding countryside) will be from the anticipated 350,000 additional houses that the roadway development will generate.

Whether you are for or against this development you need to be INFORMED, so please come, listen and contribute to the debate.

Thanks to the over 100 people who attended the public meeting in the Library last Wednesday (5th June). Lots of concerns expressed as to the implications of all the thousands of new houses planned for the open countryside to the west of LC Parish. If you want to be kept informed email to longcrendon.oxcamexpressway@gmail.com
